A Nationalized Health Care System There has been growing concern over the health care industry in the United States for a number of years. Rising costs are becoming an increasing burden on many different facets of the industry. The client (patient) must maintain some modicum of health insurance if this client is to obtain any sort of care that one might consider competent. Unfortunately for the client, health insurance premiums have gone through the roof, and the percentages that these insurance companies pay have plummeted to the basement. Doctors are being weighed down by skyrocketing costs in malpractice insurance brought about by the number of lawsuits, many of them frivolous. Insurance companies take much of the blame from both doctor and patient, but with increasingly larger payouts for heath care costs and malpractice suits it is doubtful that the insurance companies are receiving a windfall of financial gain. All in all, it does not matter who is at fault, what matters are that the healthcare industry is in a financial conundrum. The United States government has to participate more directly in the dealings of the health care industry and, all cons aside, need to mount a plan for a nationalized health care system.
